Jeff Walker

Jeff Walker is an Internet marketing guru and consultant who first appeared in the mid-1990s. His most popular item is the Product Launch Formula, a step-by-step product launch marketing strategy program relevant to any product or niche. As well as selling his Formula, Walker makes instructional videos and teaches workshops on product launch topics. His focus is helping small companies start with small, profitable product launches to get their business off the ground. While Walker mostly works with small companies, he has also helped get the careers of fellow Internet marketing gurus off the ground by helping them plan product launches for their marketing products. In fact, helping out other marketers is how Walker first found the spotlight. Helping John Reese launch his Traffic Secrets Internet marketing course made Walker popular among marketing veterans and beginners alike.

Currently located in Colorado, Walker started his online business in 1996. At the time, he had no experience with Internet marketing. He uses his story of starting his own online company with zero initial investment as an example for beginning marketers. Walker also publicizes product launches and success stories from other online businessmen who started their companies with little to no upfront financial or time investment. Walker has been blogging on his Powered by Internet Marketing blog since October 2005, several months after the first release of the original Product Launch Formula. Product Launch Formula 3 was released in June 2010.

Unlike other online marketing consultants who focus on Pay Per Click or specific advertising strategies, Walker teaches entrepreneurs the basics of planning a product launch. One of the biggest marketing ploys used by a wide range of Internet businesses, product launches are a concentrated advertising drive to publicize a new product and attract customers. Walker is often credited as being the Internet marketing guru who made the product launch as a marketing strategy as popular as it is today.

Walker’s Product Launch Formula, now in its third edition, takes beginning marketers through the steps of planning and implementing a successful product launch. The Formula has received rave reviews from users who cite it as being easy to use, comprehensive and effective. Past users note that the Product Launch Formula will not help a beginner find a product to sell; instead, it helps users sell whatever product they have found. The program is one of the best available if the marketed product has already been decided on and acquired. In Product Launch Formula, Walker not only gives users a detailed, time-frame layout for their product launch, he also writes exactly what should be said in each email and how each aspect of the launch should be conveyed. Walker also offers some consultation benefits with the purchase of his Product Launch Formula.

Walker has recently launched another product to help online marketers, Product Launch Manager. This program takes product launch implementation to the next step and helps users keep multiple, simultaneous launches organized. This program also advocates running other companies’ launches as another moneymaking venture and gives instructions on keeping that more complex system organized. Walker’s other products have included the Product Launch Blueprint and its upgrade, the Product Launch Formula Coaching Program.

One of the winning aspects of Walker’s products is his ability to build relationships with existing and prospective users. Through his blog, website and Twitter account, Walker reaches out to his audience, draws them in and keeps them interested. The marketing techniques he uses to sell his own products are the same as what is in his Product Launch Formula program. Walker uses surveys and pre-launch research to determine the course of his marketing, regardless of whether he is planning a short-term launch or a more drawn-out campaign. If you meet Jeff, ask him about the time he “taught” me to play craps. Let’s just say I lost money that night ;)
