Anik Singal

Anik Singal is an Internet marketing guru and founder of Affiliate Classroom training program. Singal is relatively new to Internet marketing, starting his career at in the mid-2000s. He established Affiliate Classroom, an online training course for marketers, in 2005 and launched his own Pay Per Click program, PCC Classroom, soon after.

Singal is an Indian-American who moved to the United States as a child to escape a harsh social climate. In the U.S., Singal played tennis professionally before giving up on that dream and enrolling in med school. Singal was a good student but not happy and knew he didn’t want to become a doctor so, before graduating from pre-med school, switched his major to business despite his parents’ disappointment. In searching for a way to support his future business career, Singal discovered affiliate marketing online. He taught himself the ropes of Internet marketing and began working as a consultant alongside his own marketing ventures. He graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in finance and, in 2005, launched Affiliate Classroom. Since then, his success and fame in the online marketing world has continued to grow.

Singal was listed as one of Business Week’s Top 25 Best Young Entrepreneurs in the U.S., a notable achievement for such a young marketer with only six years of experience. At the time, Singal was CEO of his Affiliate Classroom and was making nearly $3 million a year with over two dozen employees under his wing. A year before, in 2007, Singal had expanded his company significantly, opening two new offices, one in Mumbai and one in Hyderabad, India. While Affiliate Classroom is now run by some of his early students, Singal still works as a marketer, consultant and teacher.

Singal convinces new marketers that the field is profitable by telling them that his own company was doubling its revenue annually and has continued to do so each year since it began. When Affiliate Classroom was first launched, Singal was charging individuals $30 a month and companies a one-time fee of $5000. Today, Singal has risen to the top of the Internet marketing world and, while his products are still priced affordably, he has made millions of dollars in the less than a decade that he has been working online.

Affiliate Classroom is, in short, an online training center for up and coming marketers. The program and the community both provide information and support while marketers of all levels sharpen their skills and learn more about their field. Affiliate Classroom draws students from around the globe and the curriculum is designed to be useful and interesting to marketers of all levels. Affiliate Classroom teaches more than just the basics of PPC and CPA advertising; it also delves into the topics of copywriting, avoiding content theft, and not getting banned from Google and other search engines.

Singal’s company was originally called Affiliate Classroom when it was founded in 2005. In 2009, it became Lurn, Inc., to represent its broadened scope of services. Today, the name JuJuQ has been adopted for the publishing arm of Lurn, Inc., and Singal remains as president, with 15 employees below him. Singal cites Zappos.com as his idol company and models the administrative side of his company after theirs. The Affiliate Classroom program, along with several other JuJuQ courses, is now closed to new students due to high demand. JuJuQ offers other, similar programs such as IM500, Income Kickstart and Read Write Earn. The Affiliate Classroom blog is still running and the Affiliate Classroom Magazine continues to be published.

In marketing, Singal recommends using a variety of marketing techniques and avenues to draw traffic to a site but focuses on Pay Per Click (PPC) strategies. Singal’s PPC Classroom was developed with Amit Mehta, another Indian-American marketing expert who debuted on the marketing scene in the mid-2000s. Their third edition, PPC Classroom 3.0, was launched at the end of 2009 and, like its earlier editions, focuses on the most important aspects of planning and executing a successful ad campaign. In particular, PPC Classroom aims to teach marketers how to most effectively use PPC advertising to drive traffic to a sales website. Singal provides easy-to-understand, useful information in his lessons and up-to-date news and tips in his live webinars. PPC Classroom also includes an active, moderated forum where marketing students can share ideas, ask for help and brainstorm.
